Create an Automation that creates In-App Alerts

Create an Automation that creates In-App Alerts

You can create an Automation within a specific project.

  • This means that when the Criteria of that Automation are met for one of the contacts in that project, an In-App Alert will be sent to the people described in the Automation.

Steps

  1. Select Create in the top menu

  2. Select Automation

  3. You arrive on the Create an Automation page

  4. Select which project this Automation should operate across

  5. In Automation criteria select the conditions that need to be met to trigger the alert - you can select from

    1. Contact Form fields

    2. Survey fields

    3. Productivity trackers, e.g. the number of updates that a contact has been tagged in

  6. In Automation actions select the type of automation that needs to be created

    1. In app alerts

    2. Message

    3. Survey

  7. In the In app alerts select the recipients of the automation. You can choose a specific group of users or enter the names of individual users

  8. Add the Alert Message which will accompany the alert (Note: Alert messages are limited to 40 characters)

  9. Describe the action you want people to do when they receive the Alert

  10. Add Escalation option, i.e. to alert more senior staff if the Alert is not resolved within a specific timeframe

  11. Press save

  12. You arrive on the Manage Alert Triggers page

  13. Similarly, there is another option for Messages where you need to first turn on the SMS messaging and then turn on Email messaging from the control panel >> account >> preference and then the automation will allow you to send SMS and Email to the user.
