Automate sending a survey to a contact
You can automate sending a contact a survey to complete
Requirements
To enable Automation for sending Survey via SMS, turn on the SMS Messages App within an organisation.
Steps
Your project must have surveys added to it if you want to automate sending surveys to contacts; and because the survey is sent to contacts via email, your contacts must have an email address saved on their contact record. (How to add a new field to a Contact Form)
Select Create in the top menu
Select Automation
Click on Create for contact automation
You arrive on the Create Automation page. Choose the project you want this automation to run across
Set the criteria you want to use for this automation to run, e.g. when a contact is added to a project
In the Automation Actions section:
Select the Surveys tab
In the Choose Survey dropdown list select the survey you want to send
If you have Waves enabled on the selected survey, you will see an option to select a wave. You can select the wave that you want to send to the contacts. It works for both Exclusive and Shared waves.
Select the Send via Email/Send via SMS/Both tickbox (as per your need)
In the Set Expiry section: choose whether you want contacts to be able to reuse the same link to submit multiple survey responses
In the Add an additional message text box: type a message that the contact will see in the email containing their unique survey link
In the Add Reminder section:
choose the amount of time you want to pass before the first reminder is sent
type a subject line and message for the first reminder
Click Add another reminder to add additional reminders
Press Save
You arrive on the Manage Automations page that displays all the automations that exist across your organisation.

It's a straightforward process; click on the "Personalize with their details" drop-down menu and select the desired tags.
Note: However, to ensure successful implementation, all relevant data must be entered in each contact's form.
Eg: If mobile number field is present in the contact form but no data has been entered for a particular contact then the Mail Merge tag _Mobile_no_will not display the number for that contact.
