Share a Custom Table

You can share a Custom Table so that other users can see it

When you share a Custom Table you are sharing the structure of the table, i.e. the columns and the order that they appear in.

  • Users whom you share the Custom Table with will only be able to see contacts whom they already have permission to see.

  • Sharing the Custom Table does not change which contacts a user can see.

  • Therefore two users looking at the same Custom Table may well see different contacts on the table, especially if the filters being used are different.

Steps

  1. Select My Apps in the top menu

  2. Select Contacts

  3. Select More Options

  4. Select Custom Tables

  5. Press Edit next to the Custom Table you want to share

  6. You arrive on the Edit Custom Table page

  7. In the Owner dropdown, change it to Organisations if it is not already set to that. (It might say “Me” instead)

  8. Once you have selected Organisations, an additional dropdown list appears called Visible to

  9. Either leave it set to All Organisation Colleagues or change it to Specific Individuals

  10. If you select Specific Individuals, be sure to leave your name within the list. Also add the names of other users whom you want to share the Custom Table with

Those other users will now be able to view the Custom Table
