Contact Types

Contact Types

Each of your contacts must be categorised into one of four types:

  • Person

  • Organisation

  • Animal

  • Object

Contact Types are set by the Contact Form used to create the contact.

How Contact Types work

Each Contact Form can be associated with one Contact Type

A Person and An Organisation types are shown by default. To access the Animal and Object type, you can click the Show More button.

Whenever you create a new contact, you are prompted to select a Contact Form to use (unless the project you are creating the contact in only has one Contact Form associated with it). Makerble will ask you to choose the Type of contact you want to create based on the Types that are associated with that form

In this example we will choose the Person type of contact

The contact’s Type is now displayed on their Contact Profile page

And also on the Manage Contacts page Overview tab
