Collect demographic details and survey responses at the same time (send a Referral Survey)
You can collect demographic details and survey responses at the same time. This uses a Signup Page and is called a Referral Survey Link.
This article covers:
How a Referral Survey Link works
A referral survey link displays the questions across two pages:
Page 1 displays a Contact Form of your choice with demographic questions
Page 2 displays your Survey’s questions that are asking for people’s opinions
When to use a Referral Survey Link
Use the Referral Link method of inviting people to complete a survey when you want to:
capture demographic information about them rather than simply gathering their opinions
and/or be able to segment your opinion questions (the ones in the Survey part) by respondents' demographic characteristics
If you do not need to capture demographic information, use the Anonymous Survey Link instead.
Combine multiple surveys into a single Referral Survey Link
With the Referral Link survey method you can also get respondents to complete multiple surveys from the one link. Each subsequent survey appears as an additional page.
How to setup a Referral Survey
You need to turn on Signup Page for your organisation
You need to a Contact Form that will appear on Page 1
You need a Survey that will appear on Page 2
Once you have those three, you can create a Signup Page which contains the
Contact Form
Survey
Any additional surveys that will appear on subsequent pages
Once the Signup Page is created, you can copy the Signup Page link and share it using the methods of your choice
When you navigate to the Manage Signup Pages page from the Survey Campaign page (by clicking the Manage Links button), you are shown all the Referral Forms within your organisation, rather than it being restricted to the ones related to that Survey Campaign.
