Add a Wave to a Survey Campaign
You can add one or more Waves to a Survey Campaign.
What is a Wave?
A wave is a type of label that is applied to a specific set of survey responses
Typically waves are
Baseline
Midline
Endline
Waves are useful when doing a longitudinal survey where you want to collect responses from the same people at different points in time
Why use Waves?
The benefits of using Waves are that you can
Use the same Survey for each point in time that the survey needs to be completed
Customise the wording of your survey at each point in time it is completed
Quickly analyse your responses from a single point in time, e.g. look at all the Baseline responses in one go
2 types of Wave
Exclusive waves are used on a single project
Shared waves can be used across several projects
How to add a Wave to a Survey Campaign
Requirements:
You must have an active Survey Campaign. In other words, you need to have added a Survey to a Project.
Go to the Survey Campaign page.
If you don’t know how to do that, read Access a Survey Campaign
Select the More Options button
Select Waves and Settings
On the Manage Survey Campaign page tick the Enable Waves tick box
Now you can choose between
Exclusive waves (any waves you create here can only be used on this single project)
Shared waves (allows you to select Shared waves that you have already created.)
