I deleted a contact by mistake

If you deleted a contact by mistake, in some circumstances we can access the deleted contacts from our backups. For a restoration fee starting at £50 we can:

  1. Identify the contact in the backup file

  2. Download the contact’s record as a PDF

  3. Download some of the contact’s information as a CSV file if this is available

  4. Provide that information back to you

You will then be able to recreate that contact’s record by typing in the information or formatting it into a CSV file so you can import it. There might be aspects of the contact’s record that you will not be able to fully replicate, for example, comments on stories or survey responses.

How to restore the contact

  1. Submit a ticket in the Helpdesk https://makerble.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals and provide details of

    1. When the contact was deleted

    2. The name (or ID number if you have it) of the contact who was deleted

  2. We will let you know when the restoration will be done by and send you the invoice

  3. We begin the restoration process and send you the file(s)

How to prevent this from happening again in the future
