Story Filters on a legacy Progress Board
You can use the Story Filters on a Progress Board to filter the results displayed in each card by the attributes of the stories and survey responses.

Step-by-step instructions: how to use the filters
Press the Filter Stories button on the Progress Board
The Filters Overlay appears
Expand each section to set criteria to filter the stories
Press Apply
The cards on the Progress Board will update to show the filtered progress

Criteria | Description |
---|---|
Organisations | If your board contains progress from projects owned by multiple organisations (for example, if you are a funder), you can filter to only display the progress recorded in the stories from particular organisations |
Projects | Filter to see the progress recorded in the stories of particular projects. This is useful when you have Album-level Cards which pull together progress from several projects but you want to drill down to only see the results from particular projects |
Surveys | Filter to see the progress recorded from responses to particular surveys. Note: this is to filter by surveys, not survey campaigns. E.g. if you want to see the results from the PHQ9 survey from across multiple projects. |
Albums | Filter to see the progress recorded in stories from projects that are within particular albums. |
Authors | Filter to see the progress recorded in stories or survey responses that have a particular author (i.e. colleague). To see survey responses from

Contacts | Filter to see the progress recorded in stories in which particular contacts are tagged You can type in the names of individual contacts. To filter using the characteristics of your contacts (e.g. Ethnicity), use Contact Filters on a Progress Board. |
Labels | Filter to see progress from stories that have been tagged with particular Labels. |
Outcomes | Filter to see progress from stories which contain indicators (Multiple Choice, Numerical and Achievement Progress Trackers) which belong to specific outcomes. |
Progress Trackers | Filter to see progress from stories which contain particular Progress Trackers, i.e.

Date Happened | Filter to see progress or answers recorded in stories and survey responses that have had a Date Happened added to them which falls within a particular date range. Date Happened is the date that something happened in reality. For example, if somebody completed a baseline survey on paper in January 2022 but you only get around to logging the information on Makerble in February 2022, the Date Happened can be set as the date in January 2022. |
Date Posted | Filter to see results recorded in stories and survey responses that were added to Makerble within a specific date range. Date Posted uses the time and date that the data entered Makerble’s database. |
Waves | Filter to see the results recorded in stories and survey responses that have waves enabled for them and see results added on those particular waves. You can filter using both; Shared as well as Exclusive waves. |
Respondent Types | Filter to see the results recorded in stories and survey responses based on who has created the update and who the respondent is. |
