Activity trackers (activity outputs) and Engagement trackers (participation outputs)
This article introduces you to Activity trackers and Engagement trackers.
Activity trackers
Activity trackers are a form of progress tracker that let you measure activity within a project.
Activity is the first thing you can measure in your strategy (a logic model).
Typical Activity trackers might include
Camps Run
Sessions Run
Workshops Run
Think of your activities as the opportunities you create for people to engage with your project
Engagement trackers
When people actually engage with your project, that is tracked using Attendance trackers (measuring Engagement). Attendance Trackers can be recorded for individual contacts.
Typical attendance trackers might include:
Session Attendances
Meetings
Phone Calls
Why the two?
Makerble lets you track Activity and Attendance separately so that you can accurately report
The number of activities you have put on, e.g. we ran 50 workshops
The number of attendances you had at each workshop, e.g. there were 10 attendees at the 1st workshop, 20 attendees at the 2nd workshop
The total attendances you had for each contact, e.g. Simon attended 15 workshops
The total attendances you had across all 50 workshops, e.g. there were 500 attendances in total
