Create an Engagement Tracker

Engagement Trackers (sometimes called Attendance Trackers or Participation Trackers) are used to record whether people have attended your project’s activities

For example, common Engagement Trackers are:

  • Sessions Attended

  • Sessions Attended Late

  • Sessions they Did Not Turn Up For

To create a new Engagement Tracker

  • Click the Create button in the top menu

  • Select Show More Options

  • Select Tracker/Outcome in the expanded menu that appears to the side

    • You arrive on the Create Tracker page and the first tab is the Activity Trackers tab

    • Select the Engagement Trackers tab

  • Enter the name of the Engagement Tracker (Attendance Trackers/ Participation Metric) in the first field, e.g. “Sessions Held”

  • Optionally open the Advanced section to

    • Add a Cover Image → this is the photo that appears if the Progress Tracker is shown on the Explore Goals page

    • Assign to Projects → this is if you want to start using this Progress Tracker on one or more projects straight away

      • Simply type in the name of each project where you want to track progress towards this goal

      • Makerble will identify projects you have Editorial Control over and allow you to add the goal to those projects

    • Hide from other Organisations → tick this box if you do not want your Progress Tracker to be available to other organisations to add to their own projects. The advantage of sharing Goals between organisations is that it enables benchmarking to happen.

    • Add custom icon → Makerble will automatically assign an icon to your Progress Tracker unless you upload an icon. This should be a small file and should be a graphic icon rather than a photograph. There are several places where the icon is displayed:

    • Owner → choose whether the Tracker will be owned by you or your organisation. If you want other Organisation Admins to be able to edit the Progress Tracker, set the owner as your Organisation. This determines who has permission to edit the Goal, i.e. change its

      • Name

      • Custom icon

      • Cover image

      • Hidden status from other organisations

    • Editorial Control → choose whether you want other people to be able to edit the Goal

    • Department → choose the purpose(s) that the Goal is for, i.e.

      • Public Impact (a Goal that has a positive impact on society)

      • Professional (a Goal that relates to work)

      • Personal (a Goal that relates to an aspect of life)

  • Pressing the Save button will create the Goal and redirect you to your Personal Goals Library

  • Pressing the Save and Add Another button will create the Goal and redirect you to a blank version of the Create Progress Tracker page on the Engagement (Participation) Tracker tab.
