Change the privacy-level of a survey

You can change the privacy-level of a survey. This controls who can

  • see the Survey’s profile page

  • add the Survey to a project

It does not control who can see the results of a survey. This is set using Story Privacy.

Steps

  1. Start by following the steps to access the Edit Survey page

  2. You arrive on the Edit Survey page

  3. Scroll down until you see the Advanced section

  4. Click the arrow to expand it

  5. A set of options appears

  6. Scroll down until you see the Privacy dropdown list

  7. Open the dropdown list

  8. Select the desired option

  9. Press Save

  10. You arrive on the survey’s profile page

Explaining the different privacy levels

  • Private - only you can see the survey’s profile page. However if the survey has been added to other projects, other people will be able to see its questions

  • Organisation Colleagues - your colleagues can see the survey’s profile page

  • Everyone - your survey may be displayed on the Explore Surveys page and available for anyone outside your organisation to add to their projects. They cannot edit the questions. But they can make their own copy of the survey.
