Create a Contact from the Create menu

You can create a contact using the Create menu

 

Requirements

Steps

  1. From any page on Makerble, select Create in the top menu

  2. In the dropdown menu, select Contact

  3. A page appears with a single dropdown list called Choose a project

  4. Type the name of your project in that dropdown list

  5. A list of matching projects will appear

  6. Select the project that the contact will be added to

  7. You are now prompted to choose a form to use to create your contact

  8. Click the dropdown list to see a list of the Contact Forms available

  9. Select the Contact Form to use to create the contact

  10. You are now prompted to choose a type of contact

  11. Click the dropdown list to see the types that are available on the Contact Form you have chosen

  12. Select the Type of Contact you want to create (Person, Organisation, Object or Animal)

  13. Now the rest of the form will load

  14. The Internal Descriptions are displayed below the name of the fields. The descriptions appear in grey text and italics.

  15. Add the relevant details and press Save

  16. You arrive on the Contact Profile page for the newly created contact: the details you entered in the form are displayed in the section on the left side.

To create contacts in bulk from a spreadsheet or other data source, follow the instructions to import contacts.
