Requirements

To enable Automation for sending Survey via SMS, turn on the SMS Messages App within an organisation.

  1. Select Create in the top menu

  4. You arrive on the Create Automation page. Choose the project you want this automation to run across

  5. Set the criteria you want to use for this automation to run, e.g. when a contact is added to a project

  6. In the Automation Actions section:

    1. Select the Surveys tab

    2. In the Choose Survey dropdown list select the survey you want to send

      If you have Waves enabled on the selected survey, you will see an option to select a wave. You can select the wave that you want to send to the contacts. It works for both Exclusive and Shared waves.

    3. Select the Send via Email/Send via SMS/Both tickbox (as per your need)

    4. In the Choose Survey dropdown list select the survey you want to sendIn the Set Expiry section: choose whether you want contacts to be able to reuse the same link to submit multiple survey responses

    5. In the Add an additional message text box: type a message that the contact will see in the email containing their unique survey link

    6. In the Add Reminder section:

      1. choose the amount of time you want to pass before the first reminder is sent

      2. type a subject line and message for the first reminder

      3. Click Add another reminder to add additional reminders

    7. Press Save

  7. You arrive on the Manage Automations page that displays all the automations that exist across your organisation.

The user can personalize their messages using Mail Marge tags.

The content of the message, be it Email or SMS, can be customized Experience next-level personalization with Mail Merge tags.

It provides you an opportunity to add a personalized touch to your messages by inserting recipient-specific details such as name, location, or other personalized information.

This can be done by

  • Clicking on the drop-down menu with the placeholder It's a straightforward process; click on the "Personalize with their details. Select the tags from the " drop-down menu and select the desired tags.

Note: The data of the contact must be present to display the information of that contact using the particular Mail Merge tagHowever, to ensure successful implementation, all relevant data must be entered in each contact's form.

Eg: If mobile number field is present in the contact form but no data has been entered for a particular contact then the Mail Merge tag _Mobile_no_will not display the number for that contact.
