You can invite anyone with the referral link to complete a survey.

How a Referral Survey Link works

A referral survey link displays the questions across two pages:

  • Page 1 is displays a Contact Form of your choice

  • Page 2 displays your survey’s questions

Use the Referral Link method of inviting people to complete a survey when you want to:

  • capture demographic information about them rather than simply gathering their opinions

  • and/or be able to segment your opinion questions (the ones in the Survey part) by respondents' demographic characteristics

If you do not need to capture demographic information, use the Anonymous Survey Link instead.

With the Referral Link survey method you can also get respondents to complete multiple surveys from the one link. Each subsequent survey appears as an additional page.

How to invite people to complete surveys using a Referral Link

  1. You need to turn on Referral Links for your organisation

  2. You need to a Contact Form that will appear on Page 1

  3. You need a Survey that will appear on Page 2

  4. Once you have those three, you can create a Referral Link which contains the

    1. Contact Form

    2. Survey

    3. Any additional surveys that will appear on subsequent pages

  5. Once the Referral Link is created, you can copy the Referral Link and share it using the methods of your choice

When you navigate to the Manage Referral Forms page from the Survey Campaign page (by clicking the Manage Links button), you are shown all the Referral Forms within your organisation, rather than it being restricted to the ones related to that Survey Campaign.
