Back-end title | Front-end title(s) | What it actually means |
---|---|---|
Actual created at | “Date posted” | The real time and date that the story was first created within the database |
Created at | “Date Happened” “Date the activity actually happened” | This is the Date Happened date field. It lets the user select their own date. The date the user selects is the date that they want the storychange and storyindicator data to be associated with. For example:

You can also see the Dates whenever the story appears on a Timeline
Blue box: this displays the Date Happened (this is called Created At in the database)
Green box: this displays the Date Posted (this is called Actual Created At in the database)
Purple box: this displayed how long ago the story was posted. And if the story has been edited, it will instead display how long ago the story was edited.
Purple line: this displays the time and date that the story was most recently edited (this is called Updated At in the database)

the user can use the Date Happened field to say that the story is about activity that happened on Monday,
even though the story was created in the database on Wednesday
