Step-by-step Instructions
To create a new survey click Create in the top menu > select More Options > select Survey. Then go to step 3
To edit an existing survey, open go to the left Sidebar > open Impact expand the Surveys section > select Master Surveys > then select that survey. You will come to the Survey profile page. Select Set the Questions tab.
You arrive on the survey’s Set Questions page
Press Create Question
Enter the first question , e.g. The objectives of the programme were met in the Name of Metric field
In the Outcome field: select one of your outcomes (you can create a new one from the Metrics App)
In the Answer Choice section, add the five Answer Choices: Strongly agree through to Strongly disagree.
Press Save
For question 2 and the other questions: press Create Question and then enter the name of the question in the Name of Metric field, but select Start with an existing set of Answer Choices and then choose the same set of Answer Choices that were used on question 1
Press Save
And then when you’re done, press Save to save the survey
Or do it from within the Metrics App

In the Pick questions from you libraries section, select the outcome that you want to add to the survey. This will add all the question from the outcome to the survey.
You should create the questions in the metrics app by following this guide Multiple Choice Trackers that use Shared Lists (Answer Choices) before adding them to the survey.
A pop-up will appear where you can choose the option of how to display the questions
Select the Question Grid option for Display as.

You will get the grid option for the display of questions only if the following conditions are satisfied:
If the outcome that is added does not meet any of the above conditions, the grid option will be disabled. |
Set up the other settings for the questions by pressing Next and click on Save and Finish at the end.
Similarly, set up the other outcomes and questions for the survey.
Press Save at the bottom to save the survey
Your grid setting is saved.
Now, you will see the questions with similar answer choices in a grid rather than multiple questions.
