Segment Distribution over Time using Split By
Split By
Split By allows you to segment progress according to the different characteristics of your contacts as captured in List fields that are used on their Contact records
Start by opening the Card Popup
Go to the Progress Board containing the Multiple Choice Tracker on the project(s) you are analysing
Click the title of the Multiple Choice Tracker
This causes the Card Popup to launch
Explore the data
Set the time period for the x-axis
You can change the time period shown in the x-axis
Steps
Select Months (green arrow)
Choose a new time period from the dropdown list
The chart adjusts accordingly
Split the data by a demographic list field
In chart mode
Press the Split By button (pink arrow)
A list of the List Fields appears
Select the one you want to split the data by and press Apply
The vertical column for that time period becomes split into several vertical columns; one for each Answer Choice of the List field
Expand into Full Screen mode to see the chart more clearly
Click the burger menu icon in the top right
Select View in Full screen
Use the horizontal scroller to navigate left and right through time
In table mode
Alternatively switch from Chart to Table to explore the data numerically. Press the Table radio button
A table appears with a column for each Point In Time and nested below that, a set of columns that include a column for each Answer Choice from the List field being used in the Split By
To dive into the table you can press the buttons above the table to
Export it as a CSV file
View it in full screen
Press Escape to leave Full Screen mode
Press Close to close the Card Popup
