Add points to Answer Choices

You can add Points to Answer Choices while creating it editing a metric using the Metrics app.

Points are used to calculate survey verdicts. They are only compatible with Multiple Choice questions

Steps

While editing a metric

  1. Select My Apps in top menu

  2. Select Metrics

  3. Find the metric you want to edit, e.g. by

    1. Using the Find a metric search bar (which appears on every metric’s profile page)

    2. Scrolling through the table

    3. Switching from Personal library to Organisation library

  4. Click the Actions button and then click Edit

  5. Now go to the How to add points steps below

While creating a metric

  1. Click Create In the top menu

  2. Select Show more

  3. Select Progress Tracker

  4. Select Multiple Choice

  5. Now go to the How to add points steps below

How to add points

  1. By default the Add points toggle is set to off

  2. Switch it to on

  3. Now an additional numerical box appears next to each Answer Choice

  4. Use it to enter the points that you want to allocate to that answer choice

  5. Press save

  6. To use those points within a survey, go to the Edit Survey page and follow the steps to allocate that set of points within a specific survey.

Why are there several Sets of Points?

  • The same set of answer choices can have different sets of points allocated to them

  • This is so that you can have different types of calculation used for verdicts in different surveys, even if those surveys are reusing the same multiple choice questions
