You can edit existing Case Forms. The page that you edit the form on depends on your ownership of the field.

This article outlines how to Edit an existing Case Form, i.e. how to Add, Remove, Edit and Reorder fields.

Considerations around what you can edit

If you are the owner of a field

If you own a field you will see the Edit button next to it on all of your Case Forms.

  • Press this to change the

    • name of that field

    • Answer Choices within the field if it is a List field (also called a “Select” field)

If you are not shown as the owner of a field

For List fields

You might be the owner of the List field via the Lists App. If that is the case, go to the Lists App and follow instructions to edit a List. Changes that you make to the List via the Lists App will be reflected within your Case Form automatically.

For all other fields

If you do not own the field, you cannot alter its name. If you want to change the details of the field, you must contact helpdesk@makerble.com to transfer ownership of the field to you.

Steps to edit a Case Form

  1. Go to the Manage Custom Forms page

  2. Press the Manage Fields button next to the Case Form you want to edit

  3. You arrive on the New Custom Form page

  4. Enter the name of the new Case Form

  5. In the Custom Form for dropdown list: select Case

  6. Click Save

  7. You arrive on the Manage Fields page for your newly created Case Form

  8. Use the left panel to

    1. select existing fields to add to your Case Form

    2. Create new fields to add to your Case Form

  9. Changes are saved as you go along, there is no Save button on this page

  10. Once you are finished, press the Back to Organisation’s Custom Forms button in the top left of the page or press the Home button
