How to create a case

From a Contact’s profile page

  1. Access the contact’s profile page

  2. In the Actions dropdown menu press the Add a [Case Form] button.

  3. You arrive on the Create create New Case page.

  4. Fill in the form with the details of the case

    1. Every case is linked to one project

    2. If you have several Case Forms you can choose which form to use to create the case

    3. You will automatically be assigned as the Case Owner

    4. You can add other users in the project to the case as Case Workers

  5. Press Save

  6. You arrive on the Case page. (The Case page is a tab on the contact's profile page)

From the Manage Cases page

  • The Cases tab will not appear in the My Apps ribbon until you have enabled Cases on the Project Preferences page.

  • Choose a Contact(Beneficiary) to whom the case belongs to.

  • add Add a Case Title.

  • optionally Optionally, add Case Workers (these are people who are allowed to tag a story with the label for this Case)

  • the The system will automatically generate a Case Number for each case. Each charity organisation has its own Case Numbering which begins at 1.
