Assign Metrics (formerly called Assign Goals) allows Project Managers to assign particular project goals and sub goals to specific Project ReportersYou can assign specific metrics within a project to particular colleagues who have been added to that project.

  • This means that only those users will have permission to create stories that tag progress towards those metrics.

How it works

Public versus Private

By default all of your project Outcomes and Progress Trackers are public.

Changing an Outcome or Progress Trackers to private means that only the people marked as Assigned to that goal will be able to see progress and log progress.

Assigned versus Not Assigned

By default, all Project Reporters are assigned to every Activity Tracker, Attendance Tracker and Multiple Choice Tracker, Achievement Tracker and Numerical Tracker

View Only versus Add Goals

By default, all Project Reporters have View Only access to Outcomes.

  • View Only access means that people can see an Outcome but they cannot add or remove its sub goals on this project

  • Add Goals means that people can add or remove the Outcome’s Progress Trackers on this project

Steps

  1. Launch the My Apps ribbon

  2. Select Projects

  3. Find the project whose

  1. Progress Trackers and/or Outcomes you want to assign to specific

  1. colleagues

  1. Press the More Options button for that project. (In Cards view it appears as a cog icon). A sub menu appears .

  2. Select Assign Goals

  3. You arrive on the Assign Goals page

    1. There is a

      1. column for each Outcome and Progress Tracker on that project

      2. row for each type of colleague or individual colleague
