Considerations

You must be the owner of a Multiple Choice Tracker in order to edit it

  • As long as an update has not been posted about an update, you can edit a Progress Tracker.

  • If an update has been posted using that Progress Tracker, the tracker is ‘Locked’

Types of edit

  • Add additional Answer Choices to the Question → go to the Lists App and edit the List from there

  • Edit the Question’s Answer Choices → go to the Lists App and edit the List from there

  • Change the Set of Answer Choices used for the Question → do this from the Edit Multiple Choice Tracker page: steps below

  • Change the title of the Multiple Choice Tracker → do this from the Edit Multiple Choice Tracker page: steps below

  • Change the way the Multiple Choice Tracker is worded when it appears in all surveys → do this from the Edit Multiple Choice Tracker page: steps below

  • Add personalised survey question wording → follow the steps described in Surveys with Personalised Wording of questions and answers

  • Add the Multiple Choice Tracker to an Outcome → follow steps: Add a Progress Tracker to an Outcome

Steps

  1. Select My Apps in the top menu

  2. Select Goals

  3. You arrive in the Library

    1. Decide whether you need to be in the Personal Library or your Organisation Library

  4. Find the Progress Tracker in the Library

  5. Click the Actions button on the right side

  6. In the dropdown, select Edit

  7. You arrive on the Edit Multiple Choice Tracker page

  8. It resembles the Create Multiple Choice Tracker page

  9. Make the edits

  10. Press save

To create a new Multiple Choice Tracker (scale indicator)

  • Go to the Create Goal page

    • Click Create in the top menu

    • Select Show More Options

    • Select Goal in the expanded menu that appears to the side

    • This takes you to the Create Goal page and the first tab is the Activity Tracker tab

    • Select the 5th tab: Multiple Choice Tracker

  • Enter the name of the Multiple Choice Tracker in the first field, e.g. “To what extent do you agree with the following statement: I find it easy to get up in the mornings?”

  • Set of choices: there are two options to choose from:

    • Create a completely new set of choices: this is the default option which allows you to create Answer Choices

    • Start with an existing set of choices: if you select this option, you will be prompted to select an existing set of Answer Choices rather than creating your own new ones. For guidance on using this option, select Multiple Choice subgoals that use Shared Lists

  • In the first column called Level enter the Answer Choice for that question, e.g.

    • Strongly Disagree

    • Disagree

    • No Opinion

    • Agree

    • Strongly Agree

  • Press the pink Add Another Level button to add more Answer Choices to the question

  • Description column: you can leave this blank unless you want to display a definition for what each level refers to

  • Optionally open the Advanced section to

    • Add a Cover Image → this is the photo that appears if the Tracker is shown on the Explore Goals page

    • Hide from other Organisations → tick this box if you do not want your Tracker to be available to other organisations to add to their own projects. The advantage of sharing Trackers between organisations is that it enables benchmarking to happen.

    • Rewrite as a survey question → if you add a sub goal to a survey, you can express it differently. For example, for the sub goal of “Found a new job”, when it appears in a survey you might want to phrase it as “Have you found a new job?”

    • Add custom icon → Makerble will automatically assign an icon to your goal unless you upload an icon. This should be a small file and should be a graphic icon rather than a photograph. There are several places where a Tracker’s icon is displayed:

    • Owner → choose whether the Tracker will be owned by you or your organisation. If you want other Organisation Admins to be able to edit the Progress Tracker, set the owner as your Organisation. This determines who has permission to edit the Tracker, i.e. change its

      • Name

      • Custom icon

      • Cover image

      • Hidden status from other organisations

    • Editorial Control → choose whether you want other people to be able to edit the Tracker

    • Department → choose the purpose(s) that the Tracker is for, i.e.

      • Public Impact (a Tracker that has a positive impact on society)

      • Professional (a Tracker that relates to work)

      • Personal (a Tracker that relates to an aspect of life)

  • Pressing the Save button will create the Tracker and redirect you to your Personal Goals Library

  • Pressing the Save and Add Another button will create the Goal and redirect you to a blank version of the Create Goal page on the Activity tab
