Understand the difference between Metrics and Survey Questions

3 key points

1. Every metric can be reworded as a survey question

• For example, Confidence is a Multiple Choice tracker (aka metric or Scale Indicator)

  

• but it can be rewritten as the survey question: What is your level of confidence?

  

2. A metric’s Survey Question wording is only displayed when a survey is being completed for one person

• The Survey Question is displayed when the Complete Survey page loads in Only One Contact mode.

  

  Only One Contact mode is the one you and your respondents see when you:

  • Share a public link to your survey

  • Send a unique survey link to Contacts

  • Send a unique survey link to 360° Perspective Providers

  • Use the Complete Survey button on a contact’s profile page

• The Metric is displayed when you create a story using Several or No Contacts mode.

  

  Several or No Contacts mode is the one you see when you:

  • Complete a survey in Several or No Contacts mode

  • Create a story from either a Progress Board or the Personal Progress widget on your Homepage

  • Create a story using the Timeline Update on either a contact’s profile page or from the Homepage

3. Metric titles are displayed everywhere else

• In a story on the Homepage Newsfeed or in a Timeline

  

• On a Progress Board

  

• On a Project page

  

• On an Album page

  

• On a contact’s profile page
