Introduction

• There are three types of indicator

  • Scale: for multiple choice questions (front-end documentation)

  • Binary: for tick box questions (front-end documentation)

  • Value: for numerical questions (front-end documentation)

• Indicators are called Indicative Progress Trackers in the front-end

• Every indicator belongs to at least one outcome (front-end documentation).

• Every pairing of an outcome with an indicator is called an Outcome Indicator

How they are used

• Indicators are used to create stories although inclusion of indicator data within a story is optional

• Indicators can be added to projects and can have project-level targets

• Project-level progress for an indicator (a sum of all the stories that contain story_indicator data) is displayed on a project page in the Progress Panel
