As a signed-in-user you can create a story (submit a survey response) that contains approximate amounts, in other words, numbers that you have already counted, i.e. aggregate data.

There are two ways to do this:

  1. Manual Headcount + Tagged Contacts: i.e. Add approximate amounts alongside progress that is tagged to individual contacts

  2. Manual Headcount only: Only add Approximate Amounts, i.e. do not display the option to tag progress to individual contacts

When you might use Manual Headcount

At a large in-person event

To answer a Survey Question

  • You are holding an event and use a poll within the event to get people’s responses

  • You don’t have people’s individual responses but you do know the number of people who provided a particular answer to each question

  • Using the Anonymous Aggregate mode you can enter the number of people who responded to each Answer Choice of each question

How to analyse survey results that include Manual Headcounts

When analysing your survey results, you can switch between whether you want to see

  • Only the responses that were entered as Manual Headcounts

  • Only the responses from tagged contacts (i.e. when responses are recorded against individual contacts)

  • Both - combined results from both tagged contacts and Manual Headcounts
