Create a progress board (Induction)

Progress Boards are the way that your progress towards goals and subgoals on different projects can be brought together

Ahead of this task you should have:

  • Created two projects

  • Added goals and subgoals to those projects

  • Created several beneficiaries

  • Created several stories which show the progress that those beneficiaries have made towards the goals and subgoals

intro

You have created two projects and they both contain a variety of goals.

The Progress Board will allow you to present your progress in a visual way without needing to jump between different project pages

Steps:

  1. Click CREATE in the top menu

  2. Select Progress Board

  3. Give your Progress Board a name. Also add a background wallpaper image and profile thumbnail image for the Board.

  4. In the left column is a list of your projects and when you expand the name of the project, it will display the Goals and Subgoals within that project. Tick several of the goals and subgoals of that project. Do the same for your other project.

  5. The goals and subgoals you select will appear in the right column

  6. Press the PUBLISH button. This will save the Progress Board and redirect you to the Board.

  7. On the Progress Board page there is a Card for each of the goals and subgoals that you added. The Card summarises the progress you have logged.

  8. Click the title of each Card. this will launch a popup that contains one or more charts. You can use the options in the popup to change the x-axis that is displayed in these charts. E.g. changing the x-axis from displaying days to displaying months, quarters or years

  9. The Multiple Choice subgoals look particularly interesting when you launch their popups because the system will also display the Distance Travelled chart (on the left). This shows you the number of your beneficiaries who gave a particular answer to a Multiple Choice question at the start of your programme and then who gave a different answer to that same question at the end of your programme.

  10. Click the Table view within the Distance Travelled chart to see the number of beneficiaries that did each ‘journey’. E.g. the number of beneficiaries who went from “Strongly Disagree” to “Strongly Agree” as their answer to a particular question.

    1. Clicking the name of that journey causes the row to expand and list the individual beneficiaries who did that journey

    2. Clicking the name of the beneficiary will redirect to their Contact profile page

    3. Clicking the term Start or End will redirect to the specific survey response of theirs

  11. Press the blue PLUS button on the card to create a story about that specific goal on that particular project. This is a Quick Update (also known as Instant Update). For more information about how the Progress Boards work, look at this guide: Interact with Cards on a Progress Board
