You can add a location to a story. This means that

  1. the location of the story will be displayed when the story appears on the Newsfeed or Timeline

  2. the story can be shown on a map

  3. the progress from the story can be shown on a map

Steps

There are several ways to add a location to a story on Makerble

While completing a survey

If the survey you are completing has the Location field within it, you can enter the story’s location while completing the survey

If the survey does not have the location field, you can edit the survey and add the standard Location field to it

While posting a Timeline Update

  1. Start typing in the Timeline Update box on the Homepage or on a contact’s Profile page

  2. Select the Location tab

  3. The Where did this happen Location text box appears

  4. Enter the location in the text box

  5. As you type, potential addresses will appear

  6. Select the correct address

  7. Press Post to save your story

While using the Quick Update popup

If you are on a Progress Board or in the Personal Progress section of your Homepage, you can post a Quick Update

  1. Launch the Quick Update popup

    1. To do it from the Homepage, click the “+” symbol next to the tracker you want to post an update about

    2. To do it from a Progress Board, press the “+” symbol in the card of the tracker you want to post an update about

  2. The Quick Update popup appears for that tracker

  3. In the Quick Update popup, click the Location symbol

  4. The location text box appears

  5. Enter the address where the story took place

  6. Potential addresses will appear as you start to type

  7. Select the correct address

  8. Press Publish
