Ratio-Sets

A “Ratio Set” is a multiple choice option. On Makerble we use them in two ways:

  • Identity Ratio Sets (also known as Characteristics) which are used to describe the characteristics of a beneficiary, for example, their Hair Colour, Age, Weight, Ethnicity, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Gender, etc

  • Progress Ratio Sets which are used to describe qualitative indicators, i.e. indicators where they are best articulated using a scale rather than just a number. For example, to measure how confident someone is, the Indicator might be Confidence but then the Progress Ratio Set for this indicator could have several Sub Ratios which were:

    • Extremely Quiet,

    • Rather Quiet,

    • Quiet but will talk when asked,

    • Average,

    • Sometimes initiates conversation,

    • Is comfortable initiative conversation,

    • Is extremely talkative.

A Ratio Set can be applied to a Change or an Indicator once it has been added to a project. This happens on the Edit Ratios Page which the user arrives on after they have added Changes and Outcomes to the project.

In the future, Changes and Outcomes will have default Ratio Sets applied to them. https://github.com/MakerbleDev/makerble/issues/662

Also in the future, Changes and Outcomes that are within Templates will have Ratio Sets applied to them specific to that Template: see issue https://github.com/MakerbleDev/makerble/issues/791
