You can report on the number of contacts who have moved from one role to another (or from having had no role at all), had a role, started a role and ended a role.

Automatic charts

Makerble automatically generates two Movement between roles charts:

• Movement between roles that contacts had at the time: this chart only detects when a contact started a role during a month that they were already in another role.

• Movement between roles that contacts ever had: this chart counts the number of contacts who either previously had or currently have a role, who have then been assigned another role

Makerble also automatically generates three additional charts which are accessed from a single chart box.

• Roles had: this chart shows the number of contacts who had that Role in that month

• Roles started: this chart shows the number of contacts who started that Role in that month

• Roles ended: this chart shows the number of contacts who ended that Role in that month

You can switch between each of the three views by using the dropdown list

Create your own charts

In addition to these two Role Movement charts, you can create your own editions that only include movements between the roles you specify. These editions that you create will also appear on the Productivity tab of the Contacts App. They will exist as a pair; an ‘at the time’ version and an ‘ever had’ version.

View the charts

1. Select My Apps in the top menu

2. A ribbon of Apps appears

3. Select Contacts

4. You arrive in the Contacts App

5. Select the Productivity tab

   

6. Scroll down to the Contact Roles chart boxes

Ways to use the charts

• Use the Chart / Table toggle to view the table instead of seeing the chart

  

• In Table view: click a blue number to see the names of the contacts whose Role data is contributing to that number

• The key displays a colour for each Role (or each type of Movement between Roles)

  • Select a colour in the key to hide that particular Role (or type of Role movement)

  • Select the colour in the key again in order to show it

  • Place your mouse over a colour in the key to focus the chart on that particular Role (or type of movement between Roles)

• Press the 3 line ‘burger menu’ in the top right corner of each chart box. You will see options to:

  • View the chart in full screen

  • Download the chart
