Note that your contacts' phone numbers must be saved in a telephone field. (Alternatively you can use a text-type Field although this is not recommended as you will need to ensure that the phone numbers include the country code, e.g. with “+44” at the start for United Kingdom phone numbers.)

  • If you do not already have a field designated for mobile phone numbers, follow these steps to create one.

  1. In the left side navigation bar, select Me & Support and choose Request Support.

  2. Select Billing/licensing and create a ticket in which you ask for the Communications Bundle to be added to your organisation's account. Once the package is added, you will be able to turn on SMS Messaging and Email Messaging.

  3. Select My Apps in the top menu

  4. Select Control Panel

  5. Scroll down to Account section and select Preferences

  6. Tick the Activate Messaging tick box

  7. In the next box, select the Contact Form fields you would like to designate as being the ones that hold the mobile phone number of your contacts. You can select multiple fields

  8. Press Save.

  9. SMS Messaging is now enabled on your organisation.

  10. Press the Messaging button in the top menu (it is shaped like an envelope)
