Sometimes you want the user to see the options of a multiple choice question as a dropdown, while other times you want to show the options in an expanded form, that is, each option displayed separately with buttons and boxes.
You can now choose if you want to display the Multiple-Choice type questions in an expanded form or in a compact form based on your requirements and choice.

In a Contact Form you can change the way that a Dropdown is displayed. You can choose between
a Compact Searchable Dropdown
an Expanded Set of Buttons
To do this, you just need to use the Layout toggle to change that question’s appearance.

How to change the layout
Go to the My Apps option in the top menu.
Click on Contact Forms.
You arrive on the Manage Contact Form page. Manage your Contact Forms
On the Manage Contact Form page, click on the title of the Contact Form you want to edit.
You can also go to the Actions Tab and click on Edit button.
You arrive on theEdit Contact Form Form’s profile page.
Select a Scroll down to the Multiple Choice (Dropdown) question.
Click on the Actions Button next to the Dropdown you want to change the layout of
Click on Layout option.
A popup appears with choices of Compact and Expanded for the options.
Select the option for how you want to display the options for this particular question.
You can set the layout for all the questions similarly.

When displayed as a Compact Searchable dropdown menu
This allows you to search as you type when looking for an Answer Choice
It’s recommended for when you have a high number of Answer Choices - e.g. for a dropdown such as Ethnicity, Medical Condition, Industry Sector, etc.

The Expanded Button layout is used by default
It’s recommended for when you have a small number of Answer Choices because it allows people to see all the options available to them in one go and make their choice quickly.
