Why use it

Hide Unless Skip Logic is useful when you have questions to that should only be answered only when specific answers are provided or some conditions are met to some previous questions. So, now completing the survey will become very easy for your beneficiariescontacts and survey respondents.

For example,

  • if there are 100 questions in a survey

  • and question number 10is: what is your

  • Employment Status Unemployed or Employed.

  • Imagine that in the survey,

How to use it

  1. Go to the survey profile page. You can get there by

    1. Clicking My Apps in the top menu

    2. Select Surveys

    3. Switch from Tiles to Tables view

    4. Click the name of the survey you want to use ‘Hide Unless’ for a question

    5. You arrive on the survey’s profile page

  2. From the Survey Profile Page, you can select the questions for which you want to apply the 'Hide Unless' Logic.

  3. In the Actions menu for each Current Field Question, there is an option called Skip Logic: Hide Unless which is displayed for every field APART FROM the first Current Field Question which allows for data entry and on any Current Fields above that fieldQuestion above the Question you want to hide unless...

  1. When clicked, you click Hide Unless: the Hide Unless popup for that Current Field will openQuestion opens.

  2. In the popup, you can Choose a previous question which is a dropdown list on which you want to base your conditions.

  3. In the dropdown list, you will find all of the Scale IndicatorCurrent Fields questions Multiple Choice Questions that come BEFORE the Current Field Question in the popup (i.e. all the Current Fields which are NOT sections).

  4. Once you have chosen a Current FieldMultiple Choice Question, you can choose the set of answers from the checkbox below the text: Choose the conditions.

  1. When you have saved your choices, the conditions that were selected will be displayed below the Current FieldQuestion in green text.
