What are Survey Campaigns

Survey Campaigns are the way that surveys are managed on Makerble.

On Makerble:

  • every survey response is a story

  • every story needs to belong to a project

Therefore in order to deploy surveys for people to complete, the survey needs to be assigned to a project.

A survey is simply a set of predetermined fields which influence the content of each story. This is why in the database we call a survey a story category

Creating survey campaigns

To create a survey campaign, you simply need to add a survey to a project.

Every survey has a survey page

E.g. https://staging.makerble.com/story_categories/508

  • In the right column is a box called Survey Campaigns which lists the projects using that survey

  • Clicking the title of any of those projects will redirect to the Survey Campaign page for that survey on that project

  • At the top is the Add to Projects button which allows you to add that survey to one or more projects

Add to Projects popup

  • This lists the projects that you are a Project Editor of. If you are a Charity Editor, it will list all the projects in your charity.

  • Select the projects that you want to add the survey to

  • Projects of yours that the survey has already been added to are already ticked and disabled in the list

Survey Campaign page

There are three types of people who can create a survey response (story). Click each article to find out more:

  1. Project/Charity Colleagues: i.e. people who work on the project (e.g. Teachers)

  2. Beneficiaries: i.e. the people who are clients of the project (e.g. Pupils)

  3. Witnesses: i.e. people who know the clients (e.g. Parents, brothers, sisters and friends of each pupil)
