Witnesses are part of the 360° Feedback Survey feature.

  • A witness is someone who can provide an opinion about another contract within your organisation or project.

  • A witness is saved on Makerble as a type of contact.

Example usage

Let’s say you provide mentors to children and you want to use a 360° Feedback Survey to understand how each child has developed. Using the normal Send Survey to Contacts feature you can send each child a unique survey link that lasts then complete the survey. But what if you want to ask the child’s parents about their opinion of how the child has developed? In this scenario you would use the 360° Feedback Survey where the Contract is the child but there isn’t would be added as the child's Witnesses.

Rules

  • A contact can have several Witnesses

  • A single Witness can complete 360° Feedback Surveys about several Contacts

  • A witness is saved on your account as a contact

  • If contact-1 is behaving as a Witness to contact-2, then

    • Contact-1 (e.g. a parent from the previous example) will have a new tab appear on their contact profile page called Observing which lists the contacts whom they are observing, i.e. Contact-2 (e.g. their child)

    • Contact-2 (e.g. the child) will have a new tab appear on their contact profile called Witnesses (or Observers) which lists the contacts who are their witnesses (e.g. the child’s parents, the child’s teacher, the child’s siblings and the child’s friends)
