How the security layers work together
Access levels
These are several Story Privacy Levels. They are available as a dropdown list on the Create/Edit/View Story pages
| Who can see the story |
|---|---|
Everyone | Anyone, whether they are signed in or not |
Organisation Colleagues | Only people who part of the charity that owns the project that the story is about |
Project Colleagues | Only people who are Project Observers/Reporters/Editors of the project that the story is about |
Case Colleagues, Project Managers and Organisation Admins | Only people who are Case Workers or Case Owners of the Case that the story is tagged to. In addition to these people, the Project Manager of the project that the story is about can see the story; as can the Organisation Admin of the charity that owns the project that the story is about. |
Specific People | This produces a text box where user must enter the name of one or more people who will be able to view the story |
Only Me |
|
In addition there are a couple of further options that work in addition to the dropdown settings above:
Allow tagged Active Beneficiaries to view the story
Allow other Active Beneficiaries in my projects to view the story (this option is only available to users who are Active Beneficiaries)
Permit colleagues to share stories with guest users
By default your colleagues are not permitted to share stories with external guests users
But you can turn this on from your Organisation Settings page
How to do it
In the Sidebar select Designer and then Organisation Settings
Scroll down to “Allow coworkers to give Makerble Users outside the organisation access to a story as Specific Individuals” and tick the checkbox
