You can move a contact to a project's Declined state.

Steps

Requirements:

A project must have its Declined State turned on before a contact can be added to a project’s Alumni state (How to turn on a project’s Declined state)

Access the Contact Profile Page of the contact whom you want to move into the Declined state
Select the Move between projects button on the Contact’s profile page
A popup appears
The popup lists the projects that exist within the organisation and it will likely say “Enrolled” in the dropdown list that appears next to the project(s) that the contact is already part of
Click the current state, e.g. Enrolled and you will see a dropdown list appear
Select the state you want to move the contact to from the dropdown list next to that project
Select Declined from the dropdown list
Press the Close button
The contact has now been moved to a different state within the project.
The History section of the Contact Profile Page will update automatically
Click the black down facing arrow to expand the History section
You will see a news bulletin announcing that the contact has been successfully moved to the project’s Declined.
