Preliminary steps to importing stories with tagged contacts using a CSV file
You can import CSV spreadsheets into Makerble that contain stories relating to individual contacts.
Considerations
Each spreadsheet must be in the CSV file format
Each spreadsheet must contain less than 900 rows
Each spreadsheet must contain a header row
Each spreadsheet must contain stories relating to a single project. If you want to import stories into several projects, you must separate the stories into separate spreadsheets
Preliminary steps to complete before you begin the import process
Ideally you should create your contacts on Makerble before you begin the import.
Best practice is to assign a Unique Identifier to each contact so that Makerble can unambiguously match the contacts referenced in the spreadsheet to the contacts that exist in your Makerble account.
During the import process Makerble can optionally create a new Contact record for any unmatched contacts. However if there are unmatched contacts that appear multiple times within the spreadsheet, Makerble will create duplicate contact records for those contacts. Therefore it is better to create all contacts in advance of the import process.
Ensure that the project that the stories will be imported into has been created.
Ensure that any Progress Trackers that are being imported have been created on Makerble and either added to the project directly or added to a survey that has been added to the project. This will allow you to select those Progress Trackers on the Match Columns To Fields tab.
Ensure that any Fields that are being imported have been created on Makerble and added to a survey that has been added to the project that the stories will be imported into.
