You can get event guests to check themselves into your event using a shared device provided by you (e.g. a tablet). Alternatively you can get them to use their own smartphone.

Steps

You can Open the Self Check-in Page from several locations on Makerble:

For security reasons, the Self Check-in Page can only be opened in a window in which you are not already signed into Makerble.

  • This is to prevent event guests from accessing other parts of your account and seeing sensitive information you would not want them to see.

The Self Check-in Page must be activated on an event before you can open or share the Self Check-in Page

From the Homepage

  1. Select Home in the top menu

  2. You arrive on your Homepage

  3. The Events box appears at the top of the left sidebar

  4. Press the cog next to the name of the event that you want to open the Self Check-in Page for

  5. A dropdown menu appears

  6. Select the Self Check-in Page option

  7. You arrive on the Self Check-in Preview Page

  8. Follow the instructions to copy the link

  9. Open the link in a window where you are not signed in

    1. If you use Microsoft Edge as your web browser, you can open a new InPrivate Window

    2. If you use Google Chrome as your web browser, you can open a new Incognito Window

  10. The Self Check-in Page will appear

  11. Pass your device to the event guests so that they can now check themselves in to your event

From the My Apps menu

  1. Select My Apps in the top menu

  2. The My Apps Menu appears

  3. Hover your mouse over the Events button

  4. A list of events appears

  5. Hover your mouse over the event you want to open the Self Check-in Page for

  6. A dropdown menu appears to the side

  7. Select the Self Check-in Page option

  8. You arrive on the Self Check-in Preview Page

  9. Follow the instructions to copy the link

  10. Open the link in a window where you are not signed in

    1. If you use Microsoft Edge as your web browser, you can open a new InPrivate Window

    2. If you use Google Chrome as your web browser, you can open a new Incognito Window

  11. The Self Check-in Page will appear

  12. Pass your device to the event guests so that they can now check themselves in to your event

From the Event page

  1. Select My Apps in the top menu

  2. The My Apps Menu appears

  3. Select the Events button

  4. You arrive on the Manage Events page

  5. Select the title of the event that you want to open the Self Check-in Page for

  6. You arrive on the Event page

  7. On the left sidebar of the event page is a Self Check-in box

  8. Press the copy button next to the web address

  9. Open the link in a window where you are not signed in

    1. If you use Microsoft Edge as your web browser, you can open a new InPrivate Window

    2. If you use Google Chrome as your web browser, you can open a new Incognito Window

  10. The Self Check-in Page will appear

  11. Pass your device to the event guests so that they can now check themselves in to your event
