The Contacts option only appears in the Messaging App once your organisation has turned on SMS Messaging and/or Email Messaging
Steps
Select the envelope icon in the top menu to access the Messaging App
Below the “Messages” title, select the Contacts tab (rather than the Colleagues tab)
Select the Broadcasts tab
Click the New Broadcast button
In the Recipient category dropdown list:
select Organisation Contacts if you want to bulk message every contact within your organisation
select Project Contacts if you want to bulk message every contact within a single project
select Event Guests if you want to bulk message the guests of a single event (Note: you can also bulk message guests of a single event directly from an Event page. Follow the steps.)
If you chose Project Contacts, the Set of recipients dropdown list updates to let you choose one of your projects
If you chose Event Guests, the Set of recipients dropdown list updates to let you choose one of your events
In the Choose a format dropdown list: select SMS or Email
If you select Email you will be prompted to add a subject line to the email
In the Contacts box you will see a list of contacts for whom you have contact details that match the format you’ve chosen.
If you are sending an SMS: the Contacts box will only display contacts that have a Mobile Number
If you are sending an Email: the Contacts box will only display contacts that have an Email Address
Next to the Contacts section is a filter section. This lets you filter the contacts shown in the box according to the state that they are in. By default this is set to Enrolled however you can put your mouse in the box to choose alternative or additional states to filter the contacts shown by
Pressing Save will send the message
