You can set targets for each metric (Progress Tracker) that is being used on each of your projects.

As an alternative to setting All Time Targets, you can turn on Deadlines which allow you to set targets that are linked to dates. You can then use the Table view when in Period mode on the Project page to see the progress within a specific period: See progress towards target on a project page

create project targets for every Progress Tracker.

There are two types of target:

  • All Time targets

  • Deadline based targets

Type of target

What it means

All Time

Each Progress Tracker on your project has one target.

  • You could think of this as the success measure of your project over all time.

  • E.g. if through your project you want to educate 10,000 children, you could set an All Time target of 10,000 against the Children Educated progress tracker.

Deadline-based

You start by setting an End Date (deadline) for each period.

  • You set the End Dates manually, so if you want to report monthly, quarterly or on a more ad-hoc basis, you can.

  • E.g. if you want to educate 100 children in Q1, 110 children in Q2, 130 children in Q3, etc.

Info

When entering Periodic targets, set the number you want to achieve within that period, not the cumulative amount that you want to have achieved by the end of that period including the previous periods.

Makerble automatically calculates the cumulative progress and targets for you.

You can see progress towards target from several places

  • Project page (in the Progress Panel)

  • Progress Board

Steps

Info

Only Project Managers and Organisation Admins are allowed to set targets.
