Requirements

  • You must have a Mailchimp Account to integrate Makerble and Mailchimp

You can add the Mailchimp Integration if you have a Mailchimp Account, using the option to add “Organisation-level Integrations”.

Setup the integration

Part 1 of 3: Connect Mailchimp to Makerble

You must be an Organisation Admin

  1. Select More in the top menu

  2. Select Control Panel

  3. You arrive on the Control Panel

  4. Scroll down until you see Integrations

  5. Select Integrations

  6. Once in the Integrations App, press Add an integration

  7. Select Mailchimp from the dropdown menu.

  8. Select Login or Authorise

  9. Authorise the Mailchimp Account by following the instructions on-screen.

Part 2 of 4: Prepare the project and Contact Form to use with Mailchimp

  1. Decide which Makerble project you want to connect to Mailchimp.

    1. Mailchimp subscribers will be added to this project

    2. And contacts added to this project, will be added to Mailchimp

    3. If you don’t already have a project that you want to use for this, you can create a new project

  2. Choose a Contact Form to store information from any custom fields you’ve created in Mailchimp (Manage your Contact Forms)

  3. Check that the Contact Form you’ve designated has been added to the Project before you move to Part 3 (How to add a form to a project)

Part 3 of 4: Choose information to import from Mailchimp

  1. Go to the Integrations App.

  2. Click the Actions dropdown

  3. Select Contacts Mapping

  4. Press the Settings button

  5. You arrive on the Mailchimp Contacts Mapping Settings page

  6. In the Map Fields dropdown list, choose the same Contact Form that you chose in Part 2.

  7. Select the Mailchimp fields that you want to map to the fields on your Makerble Contact Form

  8. Once done, press Save

Part 4 of 4: Connect a project to Mailchimp

  1. Access the Mailchimp navigation page. You can do this by

    1. clicking More in the top menu → selecting Control Panel → scrolling down to Integrations → pressing the Manage button that appears next to Mailchimp

  2. Click the Contacts button

  3. Click Edit

  4. You arrive on the Edit Members page

  5. In the Sync section, select On

  6. In the Select a project dropdown list, choose the project you chose in Part 2

  7. Leave the Audience Name dropdown list set to the default option or choose an Audience.

  8. Press Save

  9. Press Request Sync

  10. Your contacts within the designated Makerble project will now be added to Mailchimp, and your contacts on Mailchimp will now be added to that Makerble project. To avoid duplication, Makerble will do the sync in a specific order.

  11. That’s it. Your integration is now set up.
