The Contacts option only appears in the Messaging App once your organisation has turned on SMS Messaging and/or Email Messaging |
Steps

Select the envelope icon in the top menu to access the Messaging App

Below the “Messages” title, select the Contacts tab (rather than the Colleagues tab)

Select the Broadcasts tab

You can send messages in bulk to your contacts. These are called Broadcasts.
When sending via SMS or Email: you can choose whether the message is sent immediately or scheduled a specific time and date in the future
Messages sent via SMS and Email will appear in your Conversation with that contact

If you chose

In the Choose a format dropdown list: select SMS or Email
If you select Email you will be prompted to add a subject line to the email
In the Contacts box you will see a list of contacts for whom you have contact details that match the format you’ve chosen.
If you are sending an SMS: the Contacts box will only display contacts that have a Mobile Number
If you are sending an Email: the Contacts box will only display contacts that have an Email Address
Next to the Contacts section is a filter section. This lets you filter the contacts shown in the box according to the state that they are in. By default this is set to Enrolled however you can put your mouse in the box to choose alternative or additional states to filter the contacts shown by

Choose when you want your message to be sent: there are two options:
Now (the default choice)
Later
To schedule your message to be sent in the future, select Later
Select the Date & Time field to launch the Scheduler
Set the Date and Time in 3 clicks:
Click 1: choose the date
Click 2: choose the hour
Click 3: choose the specific time (you can pick from 5 minute increments of the hour)
Press Save. If the message is set to Now it will be sent immediately, if it set to Later it will be sent at the scheduled time.
