Users must be given permission to create contacts. This permission is set using Organisation Preferences.

To create contacts in bulk from a spreadsheet or other data source, follow the instructions to import contacts.

Summary of the process

  1. Choose a project that the contact will be created within (The project choice is not permanent. Once a contact has been created within a project, they can be added to additional projects and/or removed from the original project)

  2. Choose a single Contact Form to use to create the contact (Every project may have one or more contact forms assigned to it. Once a contact has been created, their record can be updated with details from additional Contact Forms)

  3. Choose a single Contact Type to assign to the contact. There are four possible types: Person, Organisation, Animal and Object.

  4. Now you can complete the Contact Form to create the new contact.
